Sizing a campus facility

Campus peaks are sharper than commercial ones — they follow the timetable. Expect concentrated demand between lectures and in the evening, and duplicate accordingly.

What tends to get under-specified

Storage and racking, because a floor with no home for the dumbbells becomes a hazard within a term. Servicing capacity, because campus equipment accumulates hours faster than anyone budgets for. And free-weight space, which students gravitate to and which needs more circulation area per station than machines do.

Common questions

Should a campus gym be commercial rated throughout?

Yes. Opening hours and user numbers put campus facilities firmly in commercial duty territory, and warranty cover generally depends on it. This is not a place to save money on grade.

Can you deliver against an academic calendar?

Yes — installation in vacation periods is standard for campus work. Send your term dates early so lead times can be checked against them.
