Corporate Fitness Centers

A staffed corporate fitness centre is a different proposition from a room with four machines in it. Once there is supervision, classes and opening hours, the equipment can be more ambitious — and the operational requirements get more serious.

What changes when it is staffed

  Supervision makes racks, platforms and loose plates reasonable — which is off the table in an unstaffed room.

• 02Class space earns its area

  A clear studio floor serves more people per square metre at peak than any bank of machines.

• 03Throughput drives duplication

  Scheduled classes and shift patterns create sharper peaks than a walk-in staff gym. Duplicate what queues.

• 04Servicing becomes non-negotiable

  A staffed facility is judged like a club. Downtime is visible immediately and reported.

Planning around the working day

Servicing should be scheduled inside working hours where the facility closes overnight, or overnight where it does not. Either way it comes out of your operating pattern, not ours — tell us the constraint. See Annual Maintenance Contracts.
